Umm today was ok. We ran 5 by 1.5 laps in tech hallways which comes out to somewhere between 435 meters and 450 meters. Its probably closer to 435 meters. My times were 1) 76, 2) 76, 3)83, 4) 82, 5) 83. Those last 3 hurt man. I was satisfied with the workout overall, not particularly happy about it but it was ok. I'm quite sore however. Sitting down in class and then getting up for passing after 46 minutes in one position is not cool.

Lets see I ran a 1mile warm up before embarking on a set of 6 by 1 loop around the tennis court(400 meters). Now I should tell you somehting about this tennis court trail. It absolutely sucks. It starts with this super steep hill before going to a slight downhill for about two seconds and then back into a little uphill for like firve seconds and then finally a long downhill which is just plain hard to negotiate. I'm not to fond of that tennis court. So the fist two repeats were in 76 and 77 respectively. Afther that I lost track of times. The hills were wearing me down and I was having my hamstring aggravated by the retarded downhill. Or is it I who am retarded because of my lack of ability to work that section of the course well? One shall never know. What I do know is that those last three repeats were not pretty at all. After this I did a 400 meter cooldown if you can call it that. I just wanted to go home. And of all places: on the tennis court trail.

There was no practice today but I did go to the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden. It was freaking awesome. The high school mile and 4 by 800 was especially crazy. The lead changed places so many times I ddint know what to do with myself. It was a very fun time indeed.

I ran a 2 mile warm up with my metronome at 89. I get the funniest looks with that thing.Next we were on the second floor track running 5 by 2 minute drills with 4 minutes rest. Today was so not the type of day that I wanted to do something like this. On average I think I covered between 7 and 8 laps per repeat which comes out to between 560 and 640 meters. This was in no way good at all, it was actually quite bad. Avery was running with us today though. That was kind of interesting. So yeah today felt and was horrible.Better luck to me next time.

So after we run the 1 mile warm up we get down the the second floor and start running 240's(3 lappers) The rest between each one was 2minutes to 2:30. After the fifth one we had a 10 min break before doing the last three. My times were 1) 40, 2) 43, 3) 42, 4) 43, 5) 43, 6) 41, 7)42, 8) 43. Today felt pretty good. I mean my legs weren't exactly all springy and stuff but they werent acting like two pieces of lead attached to my torso.

No practice because I was bedridden with a stomach virus. This was not such a welcomed break. In fact it was quite the opposite.

Todays workout was very encouraging. I ran a five lap warm up on the third floor of Tech before heading down to the 2nd floor to embark on some 400's. We ran 5 by 400 meters on the everlasting turn(2nd floor track). MY times were 72. 69, 67, 70, 69. I'm not sure what the rest time was. I really think that this was a very appropriate workout seeing as how I'll be running the mile on monday.... I cant wait. While it was a good workout I did feel its after effects for a few days.

So today I ran a 7 lap warm up inside of Tech halls. After this I ran 6 by 1 lap(290) with three minutes rest in between each one. My times were- 45, 47, 46,47,48,49. So far this is the fasted that I've ever completed this workout. I've never ran all of my repeats under 50 seconds before. Sadly though I was extremely sore after this workout which definitely was a 100% effort.

From the time I woke up today I was very sore. I had problems walking up and down the stairs the whole day so that by the end of the day I was reduced to talking the elevator every period. I really think that I should have taken the time off to rest. I ran a 5 minute warm up or approximately 1200 meters. Next I ddi 4 by one minute drills on the 2nd floor track. The pace was a rugged 13 seconds per lap. The equivalent of 65 seconds per 400. After the 1st repeat I could not keep up the pace. I manatged maybe 13 seconds for one lap out of the minute for each one thereafter. I ran a lot of 14's though and close to the end some 15's. I averaeged a little more than 4 laps every minute. After the torture was over I ran a 600 meter cooldown. I'm so tired and out of it that I'm not coming to practice tomorrow. I'm quite screwed already.
